When is St. Patrick's Day?

The next St. Patrick's Day is on Wednesday, March 17, 2027.

What is St. Patrick's Day?

March 17 remembers Patrick (c. 385–461), a Briton kidnapped into slavery in Ireland who escaped, returned as a missionary and preached the gospel across the island. His Confession and the prayer known as “St. Patrick's Breastplate” still inspire believers.

Scripture for St. Patrick's Day: Romans 10:14-15

14How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
